Service Description

Join us in our new location 321 Burgundy St in the French Quarter Join us for our Sewing Boot camp! In this six week long intensive, we will meet once a week to learn the basics and beyond to get you started in our sewing studio. Even if you have never sewn before, instructor and fashion designer, Carolina Gallop, will walk you through all of the basics of getting started and the ins-and-outs of sewing construction. This is also a great refresher course for those who want to kickstart their sewing passion. As you complete several projects, all of your sewing related questions will be answered to help you feel confident in your sewing journey. No experience necessary and all supplies including sewing machines provided. Over the course of the six weeks you will learn: *The basics of sewing machine operation like threading the needle and bobbin (and what that means!) *What stitches to use and when *Sustainable sewing techniques * Basic construction techniques *Knowledge on zippers and buttonholes *Small projects such as a tote bag *Basic pattern comprehension *Pant or skirt from a basic pattern 6 sessions
