Jan Wutkowski

Jan Wutkowski has been creating hats and headpieces since 1995, having studied at the Melbourne (Australia) School of Millinery. Since 1999 she has been teaching millinery across the USA as well at the UK, France, Ireland and Australia. She owned a retail millinery shop for many years in the historic district of Asheville, NC where she resides. Her client base was exclusively custom-based, creating hats and headpieces for special occasions and running the gamut from very traditional to flamboyant contemporary styles. She continues to forge paths in new materials in millinery as well as honoring old-world materials and techniques.
